Synopsis
In modern-day Arab society, women's rights have fallen into a dire state. As a human rights campaign is sparked by the SNS activities of a journalist in Iran, countless women throughout Arab society begin to take off their hijabs. Maggie filmed a scene of her friend Tasha as she took off her hijab. Now, Maggie sets off to find Tasha. When the mask of oppression is removed, whose true face will be revealed?
Director's Comment
The human rights of Arab women are violated because of twisted beliefs. Even now, countless activists put themselves at risk to cry out for the just treatment of these women. But the negative perceptions about women's rights have been deeply rooted for centuries and are not easily redressed. Women need the help of international society and activists fighting for the basic human rights that must be guaranteed for them, but ordinary women must also stand up and let their voices be heard. It may be a long, hard road, but if we head in the right direction, then we can ultimately achieve a just goal.
