She studied visual design at Hongik University and animation at theKorea National University of Arts. She made the short animated films<Butterfly Dream> and <The Path of Wind>. She runs her own personalstudio and creates a variety of commercial animations. She teaches animation atuniversities and film advance.

KIM Yeyoung

She graduated from the School of Animation in Hongik University andstarted the creative collective "Studio YOG".She won the prize forBest Student Film at the 2009 Animadrid Festival for the animated short film<Shall We Take a Walk?> (2009) which was distributed in the short filmcollection <Nice Shorts>. Afterwards, her animation <CITY> (2010)won the prize for Sungjoo First Prizeat the 13th Seoul International Women'sFilm Festival, the New Media Art Prize from the 10th Seoul InternationalNewMedia Festival, and the Independent Walk Award at the 7th Indie Anifest. Shealso organized the QR Code Film Festival and the Tent Film Festival, and theyheld media art exhibitions at the Bukchon Art Center, Asyaaf, W Hotel, HCI, andSsamziegil. Shewere married in 2013 and went on a trip around the world for 1year and 6 months on her honeymoon. Her experiences from this trip are thebasis for her new project Which is currently in progress.

Adjunct Professorat School of Film, TV & Multimedia, the Korea National University of Arts.Beginning with Pucheon International Student Animation Festival in 2000, shehas been working as a programmer at Seoul International Cartoon AnimationFestival, Gwacheon SF Film Festival, Siggraph Asia Computer Animation FestivalDirector, and works for Indie-AniFest now. She studies on the possibility ofIntegrated Art Therapy through animations, as she has performed animationtherapy workshops for children and teenagers at HanKumCounselling PsychologyCenter since 2010.

He received an MFA in experimentalanimation from CalArts in the USA and received an MA in animation theory fromthe Royal College of Art.He is currently completing a PhD in animation theoryat Loughborough University in the UK, and he gives lectures on animation to younganimation directors at universities.He made the animated short films<Gongmoodohaga> (DV 6 mm, toilet paper, 1999) and <Plastic Trauma:Requiem for Narcissus and Ophelia> (16 mm, stop motion, 2004). He also wrotecriticism for films and comics, and he wrote the Korean translations of KitLaybourne's <The Animation Book> and Olivier Cotte's<Secrets ofOscar-winning Animation>

Max HATTLER
German animation and new media artist Max HATTLER holds an MA inAnimation from the Royal College of Art and a Doctorate in Fine Art from theUniversity of East London. His short films, animation installations andaudiovisual performances challenge the spaces between abstraction andfiguration, aesthetics and politics, sound and image, precision andimprovisation. Most recentworks include The Many Faces of Fernando Pessoa,Wayúu pattern-inspired animation triptych —O|, abstract split-screen film AllRot, and the Hattlerizer 2.0 live performance. Max has taught, exhibited andperformed around the world. He lives in Hong Kongwhere he is a VisitingAssistant Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of HongKong.

Tomm MOORE
Tomm MOORE was born in Newry, Northern Ireland, and studiedanimation at Ballyfermot College in Dublin. He co-founded the animation studioCartoon Saloon and has written, produced, animated and directed short films andcommercials. He directed the animated feature The Secret of Kells, which wasnominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Song of the Sea ishis second feature, and he also directed a short film portion of KahlilGibran’s the Prophet.

MAENG Soojin
She graduated from the Department of English Education, KoreaUniversity, and received a PhD from the Department of Theater and Film, DonggukUniversity. She was a member of the executive committee for the SeoulIndependent Film Festival, a member of the steering committee for theAssociation of Korean Independent Film & Video, a staff critic for theweekly film magazine <Movie Week>, and the programmer for the JeonjuInternational Film Festival and DMZ International Documentary Film Festival.She is currently lecturing at universities such as Sejong University and MokwonUniversity while writing about independent films and documentaries. She haswritten numerous books and translations including <Truth or Fiction:Documentaries on the Border>, <Issues of Korean Short Films>, and thetranslation for <Faking it: Mock-documentary and the subversion offactuality>

KANG Min-ji
Since making her first short animation <A Pimple> in 2006, shehas made numerous experimental animations using a variety of techniques,including <Hello!> (2006), <A Piece of Paper> (2008), <Myo-A>(2010), and <Souvenir Animation> (2012). She directs and createscommercial projects using animation techniques, such as advertisements,trailers, and broadcasting planning materials.
