Synopsis
In inscrutable space with a rectangle window, man and woman sat facing each other with a small table. And there is a monster in darkness. The man who is protagonist tried to run out from there, but he was come back again and again with inexplicable way. At the time came back, ones and twos are disappeared and finally only the monster and the man were left. And then the man was eaten. But after recovering, the monster also was disappeared. The man licked his lips. Nobody knows who ate who.
Director's Comment
The title Ku means a mouth and also implies an exit. The mouth in Ku is a means of violence to prey on others, not to speak and communicate. It is the huge monster that the integration of violence is expressed as. The protagonist tries to escape from the monster, the space of violence, which never becomes possible. It seems that he is eaten by the monster, but the monster disappears into the mouth of the protagonist. Who ate whom? Who was a real monster? People often believe that they themselves are the victims of violence. I wanted to imply vaguely like a nightmare that we could be the actual subject of violence.
