In one of my most treasured childhood memories, a young me travels to meet my young parents.

Director's Comment

The film is made as a beautiful animation of memories that occurred during a family's summer vacation in the late 1970s, along with the landscape and objects of that time. Although the picture of the family has changed over time, this film want to able to breathe new life into the precious memories through animation.

Detailed description

A family takes a summer trip in 1978. They hurry onto the taxi so they don’t miss the tour bus, making the audience feel absorbed from the very first scene. Now I can understand what is meant by “nostalgia for experiences we have never had.” Headaches on the bus, the soft sand by the sea, the sweet oyster freshly picked from the rocks, the one-room guest house smelling of mosquito repellant. All the scenes are lovable and heartwarming. Seeing the mother’s face illuminated by the sunset will take you back to your own memories by the seas. NOH Gyeongmu
