Kompin Kemgumnird has worked in the field of animation for over 19years. He is a graduate of Silpakorn University as well as the CaliforniaInstitute of the Arts. He has worked on numerous high-profile projectsthroughout his career, including a staff at Walt Disney Studios and Blue SkyStudios where he was an animator for the films “Atlantis”, “Tarzan”, and “IceAge”.

In 2002, he returned to Thailand to be the Director on Kantana’sgroundbreaking animated film “Khan Kluay”. With his team of young-bloodedanimators, they paved the way for Thailand to reach world-class standards inanimation. It was the highest grossing animated film in Thai history and the characterhave become household names beloved by children and adults alike.

MikeNguyen received his BFA in Character Animation at the California Institute ofthe Arts in 1988.  Since then, he hasworked primarily in the feature animation industry in the USA as a CharacterAnimator in various studios, including Walt Disney, Warner Bros., andDreamWorks Animation.  Among the films hehad worked on include “Beauty and the Beast”, and the critically acclaims “TheIron Giant” as a supervising animator. In 2000, he co-founded July Films, anindependent theatrical animation production company and his directing debut isthe theatrical animated feature entitled “My Little World”, currently inproduction.  He is also a CharacterAnimation instructor at the California Institute of the Arts since 1994, andalso has given animation workshops in Denmark, Ireland, Thailand and Korea. Hisprimary interest is the hand-drawn animation filmmaking medium and aims toreflect beautiful thoughts toward this life on Earth.
