Music can’t be separated from animation. From start to finish, an animation is given birth and form from the mind of the director. To convey the director’s message through animated films, it is no exaggeration to say that music and sound, which bring the images on the screen to life, are of the utmost importance in animated works, more so than in any other genre. Despite music playing such an important role in animation, it is still a different field, so it isn’t always easy to find people with whom to collaborate. The “Share Your Music” talk program is an opportunity for animation directors and music directors to come together. This is a chance to meet several music directors for the first time and take a step closer to their world of music.

KIM Dong-wook 

KIM Dong-wook received his bachelor’s in film music at Yonsei University. He received the music and sound special prize at the 11th Indie-AniFest. He was the music director for numerous short and feature-length films and animations, including the feature films [The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey], [Climbing], and [Made On The Rooftop], as well as the TV dramas [Hellbound] and [The Cursed]. He currently teaches animation sound at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries and Korea National University of Arts.

YANG Kwang-seob graduated from the Department of Composition at Chugye University for the Arts. After debuting with the KBS animated series [百变宝贝], he worked as the music director for [I'll Just Live in Bando], [Hello Carbot the Movie], and many other feature films, as well as numerous TV series such as [Hello Carbot] seasons 1 through 11. In addition to films and dramas, he also works in a variety of fields, including games and advertisements.

LIM Mihyun graduated with a master’s degree from the Department of Composition at Yonsei University, and a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Composition at Korea University of the Arts. She was the music director for [STONE SKIPPING], [Candlelight Revolution], and many other independent feature films and short films. In addition, she has composed and arranged music for various movies and dramas including [1987] and [SKY Castle].
