Synopsis

In a village in Thailand, PpomPpamspends his days all alone. One day, he comes across an abandoned cellar whilelooking for his lost ball. It looks like something is waiting for the boyinside.

Director's Comment

PpomPpam is a solitary boy thatdoesn't get much-needed attention from his parents. His mother doesn't havetime to take care of him, ironically because she is working to earn money forhim. PpomPpam comes across the Venus Flytrap during his time alone, and feelsresemblance in that they are both abandoned and lonely. Hereafter, PpomPpamforms a special bond with the Venus Flytrap and directs his eccentric lovetowards it. We wanted to depict his growth as the boy who only starved forattention untill now finds a subject for him to love and care for, and goesthrough internal turmoil and change. Finally, he grows into a person that isable to share love himself, rather than depending on others' affection.
