Synopsis

The story begins as a prayer for the Sewol tragedy, but it concludes with the wishful hope of ending the cycle of preventable disasters. Tragedies will be repeated if people do not remember the past.

Director's Comment

Countless people saw the Sewol disaster unfold as it was broadcast live and were left with deep traumatic scars. The tragedy could not simply be mourned and forgotten. The film begins with the trauma of Sewol and its unresolved issues as a starting point, but it is also a metaphor for the more fundamental tragedy that is repeated every day in our society.
