Synopsis
Livingin Beijing the mega city, everyone is consumed by different kinds of moderncivilization and ways of life. In the metro, buses, and office buildings,people are treated like raw materials, cooked into dishes, and placed on diningtables day and night. This animation presents the subtle connection betweenurban life and Beijing dishes. It vividly reflects how people are living underthe pressures of urban life by using metaphors. Passengers are hanging on metrohandrails like Beijing Roast Duck. Office workers are smashed betweenskyscrapers like pork with bean sauce. White collar employees insert paper intothe photocopier like dipping lamb slices in a hot pot. Road rollers passthrough the blacktop like making a Chinese pancake on a flat pan. Thedepressing life in an office building is like living in a steam box. Thisanimation belongs to everyone who struggles with life in Beijing, and the storytalks about the life that each of us is going through every day.
