Synopsis
Life’s ordeal which we cannot avoid is expressed in this film through an old man. It is represented in his reminiscence.
Director's Comment
Being inspired by the poem written by Pushkin, ‘What through life conspire to cheat you,’ I produced this film. Life’s ordeal of an old man is expressed in the sensuous stream of light. Our fathers or grandfathers accept the ordeal as their lives and are willing to move forward for the rest of their lives. I developed the style of ‘scratch on crayon’ so as to describe it. ☞ ‘Scratch on crayon’ is to paint black crayon on white paper to make a black screen. And you scratch the black screen to draw. It is a kind of animation technique. I developed it by applying ‘Paint on glass.’
