Synopsis
Jae-young’s house is not even 5 meter far from his school, so all of his classmates envy him. But it is not that good. Jae-young feels shameful for his father’s bad drinking habits. One day, Jae-young should do writing a picture diary about an event with his father for his homework, but his father gets uglier than ever again after he drinks that day. Jae-young falls asleep after bothering from his father. What did he draw on his picture diary?
Director's Comment
When I was little, my father always went to work at dawn and came back home late at night. There was no room for father at home; it seemed that it was all right if he wasn’t home. When I became a dad, I tried to share some time with my kids. I thought that I should not live like my father. Whenever I face my economic situation doing my animation works, however, I remember my father; my father only made money. I realized that I could have this present position because of him, finally. That is why I started this film. I would like viewers to feel my experience objectively. For that, I tried to use moderation for my expressions in my screenplay, layouts and painting.
