Synopsis

Ryan, a lion preparing for his coronation and the succession to the throne, has long dreamed of traveling the world, filling his sketchbook with visions of distant lands. Just before the ceremony, he escapes the palace and sets out into a world filled with the adventure and freedom he has always imagined. But will the world beyond the palace be as beautiful as the pictures he once drew alone? This is the story of Ryan’s struggle to find freedom and how, after confronting the wounds of his past, he finally finds the courage to step into the vast unknown that is the world.

Director's Comment

When a being who has always lived according to the desires of others finally begins to follow a desire of their own, they must make their way through a world entirely different from the one they imagined. And there, they receive a reward they never expected.

It is something far more precious than anything their imagination had promised before the journey. A bewildering and beautiful reward that could never have been known in their former world: the discovery of the self.
