Synopsis

A forgotten note hidden inside a shirt. At night he writes letters. When morning comes he goes out into the world, hiding them in every corner until the sun sets. In the end, he himself becomes a letter, and is hidden away. Ten years later, someone finds it.

Director's Comment

I wanted to make a film about two who never meet. One writes and hides letters, and the other finds them after a long time. The relationship between the two can be read in many ways. Perhaps it is one's past and future. Or perhaps it is the relationship between one carrying the question, what is truly valuable in life, what must we steal to live, and one who is still wandering, lost. Or perhaps it is the relationship between one striving hard at something, and one who sees the result of that effort. The act of leaving a record is something we do for the lives that will follow. In that sense, this letter is a metaphor for art itself, made in solitude, sent into uncertainty, and complete when someone else receives it.
