Synopsis
Director's Comment
This story comically portrays the mismatched dreams of Ppodong, a naïve baby pig who believes being sold is the gateway to “Paradise,” and a grandfather who has spent his entire life raising pigs. As Ppodong desperately struggles to wake the grandfather—the only guide who can send him to Paradise—the grandfather, in turn, mistakes Ppodong’s frantic efforts as a touching act of devotion meant to save his life. By interweaving these two perspectives, the story humorously explores the ironic bond and unexpected connection born from a simple misunderstanding.

Detailed description
The detached delusions of a pig and its elderly owner unexpectedly converge into a happy ending, turning their tale into a literal ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’. Mistaking a slaughterhouse truck for a utopian escape, the pig wakes its passed-out owner in a desperate attempt to leave the farm. Misinterpreting the pig's effort as an act of pure affection, the old man decides not to sell it. Just like the old man's ringtone—'I Can't Live Without You’—the two inadvertently save each other. After witnessing the grim reality of a butcher shop, the old man's love may no longer feel like restraint to the pig. Beneath its comedic slapstick exterior, the film cleverly demonstrates how fantasy can actually transform reality.
