KANG Minji 2016 0:07:54 2D ComputerWe sculpt ourselves based on other people's opinions. The heroine, who is in her mid-twenties, is job hunting. She is on her way home after another tiring interview. There are lots of plastic surgery centers along the streets of Seoul, and many attractive men and women pass her by. Back home, she begins to write her resume again. All of sudden, out of the stack of resumes, an advertisement for plastic surgery catches her eye. While looking at the before and after photos of a woman who had plastic surgery, she pictures herself now and fantasizes about how bright her future would be. She decides that the key to changing her life for the better is to get plastic surgery. She builds up her courage and lies down on the operating table, looking forward to her bright future...

Many leading concepts of book cover design were introduced in the book and this book had an eye-opening influence on the younger generation of Chinese designers since then. Driven by the idea of “revisiting through returning”, beginning in May 2013, have been collecting, cutting out and collaging those book cover prints from the "Book cover collection in the West" back on to Western secondhand books that I acquired over the years.
