Mt. Head
Koji YAMAMURA 2002 0:10:00 2D Computer, DrawingAfter a stingy man eats some cherry seeds, a cherry tree grows on his head and he gets into a lot of trouble. This animated film is a modern interpretation of the traditional Japanese Rakugo story [Atama-yama] set in contemporary Tokyo.

The Old Crocodile
Koji YAMAMURA 2005 0:13:00 2D Computer, DrawingAn old crocodile afflicted with rheumatism eats his own grandchild and is kicked out of the family. While traveling, he meets an octopus, and together they head to the Red Sea. Every night, the crocodile eats one of the octopus’ legs. This animation is based on the story by the French children’s book writer Leopold CHAUVEAU.

A Child’s Metaphysics
Koji YAMAMURA 2007 0:05:11 2D Computer, DrawingThere is a child with numbers on his head, and a child who carries his own head under his arm. All that is left to them is their identities. Their eyes are replaced by fish, and a zipper closes their mouths so they cannot speak. The animation shows the ecology and philosophy of children with a sense of humor and sadness.

Franz Kafka’s A Country Doctor
Koji YAMAMURA 2007 0:21:00 2D Computer, DrawingOn a cold, snowy night, a humble doctor from the countryside receives news of a patient with an emergency. But the doctor is pushed around by the strange villagers and gets swept up in their paranoia. Finally, he is thrown out into the cold. This animation presents a theater of the absurd based on the short fiction of the Czech literary figure Franz KAFKA.

Muybridge's Strings
Koji YAMAMURA 2011 0:13:00Is it possible to stop time? How about reversing time? In 1878, the photographer Edward MUYBRIDGE successfully photographed a horse and rider in motion. His turbulent life becomes intertwined with the plight of a mother and daughter from the 21st century. From California to Tokyo, from the 19th century to the 21st century, the film meditates upon the intersection of diverse themes.

Anthology with Cranes
Koji YAMAMURA 2011 0:02:00 2D Computer, 기타Spans 13 meters 53 cm long picture scroll painting by Sotatsu TAWARAYA, [Tsuru shitae waka kan (Anthology with Cranes)] (17th Century) is a unique painting to evoke the moving image. Yamamura try to decipher this [Anthology with Cranes] and the intent of Sotatsu TAWARAYA, finished in experimental work and interpret it as animation.

The Hyuga Episode of Kojiki
Koji YAMAMURA 2013 0:10:15 2D Computer, DrawingJapan's oldest chronicle, Kojiki or ‘Record of Ancient Matters’ was compiled in 712. It begins with the creation myth and the emergence of gods. 4 episodes where were located at Hyuga, [The Cleansing], [Sun Goddess Amaterasu], [Blooming Flowers] and [Umisachi and Yamasachi] were made into animation.
