Synopsis

On a peaceful day under the bright sunlight, a human dancing freely feels the unrelenting gaze of someone watching them.

Director's Comment

This animation was created to shed light on crimes that have been committed throughout history in the name of 'love,' and to visually portray the tragedy caused by one-sided affection. By employing classical animation techniques such as the phenakistiscope and praxinoscope in a looping format, the work emphasizes how these patterns of behavior continue to repeat in the present day, unchanged from the past. Traditional hand-drawn methods—such as oil pastel coloring—were combined with digital techniques to express the enduring nature of these crimes across eras. This work was conceived with the hope of remembering the victims who have been forgotten in indifference, and of encouraging greater public awareness so that such crimes are never repeated.
