Synopsis

The story of a boy and his dad who live in a small house on the edge of the steppe. The boy is confined to a wheelchair and can't even take a spoon with porridge. The dad is close to despair, but everything changes when one day the TV shows the landing of the newest robot on Mars… This tale is dedicated to all parents who don't give up.

Program Note

Technology won’t replace mankind, but it may take us far away. The disabled boy follows the Mars exploration robot and sets out toward his own universe. His father can’t replace his departed wife, but he hopes to send the boy to a distant future. The father’s hopes and efforts are warmly reflected in the delicate fantasy. Despite the exotic scenery, it is a feeling that is all too familiar.
