“Can you build a dam with art?” The father’s words make the young beaver’s art feel like a form of rebellion. The beaver wanders between “Love and Peace” and the unavoidable danger, the instinct to fell trees and personal convictions. The parent makes an effort to see this expression as something other than a desire to rebel. Meanwhile, the beaver’s friends cheer off screen. We feel the power of art growing stronger the more it is expressed, and when there are those who see and hear it.
