The MIRINAE ROAD Competition for feature-length animations is now in its third year. This year’s preliminary review has been the most interesting thus far. Each animated feature was powerfully unique and highly polished, making them ajoy to watch. We feel the deepest gratitude and respect for all the filmmakerscreating feature-length animations despite challenging circumstances.

 

The four films selected include the notable documentary animation Sultana’s Dream, the horror genre film Feast of Amrita, Pakistan’s firstanimated feature film THE GLASSWORKER, and the frank social satire PIG THAT SURVIVED FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE. We hope each of these highly varied filmsoffers opportunities for both laughter and reflection. Once more, we aregrateful to all the creators who submitted their works.
