The 2025 Seoul Indie-AniFestWeb Animation section received a total of 64 submissions, more than the previous year. 

We believe it is significant that this section receives more andmore submissions with each passing year.

Firstly, we wish to expressour gratitude to all the directors who refused to give up and stayed strong in their convictions to share their work with the world.

“What standards should we hold to judge web animations?” 

This was the first question that came to mind as we reviewed the Web Animation submissions. 

Aside from the typical aspects that determine a work's refinement, such as story, direction, and sound, we needed adifferent standard to set apart the works to be shown to our Web Animation audience.

We decided to select the works that were most fitting for the manner in which content is consumed in the modern age when animations can be watched easily through the web withoutoutside interference.

We had the chance to see many diverse endeavors and stories that break down borders. 

Some works began as lighthearted fare but ended up touching us deep in our hearts. 

Others made us wide eyed with their ingenious wit. Still others sounded the alarm with timely messages.

We give our applause to the works that were selected, and we are also endlessly grateful to those works that were unfortunately not chosen to be screened.

We send our heartfelt support and admiration to all our fellow directors in Korea who, like this year’s slogan “Dong Dong,” continue to march forward and make their work.
